Technical Tour: Montreal Mass Transit Authority Fire Training Centre
Time: 6:00-8:30 AM - (This tour will be over in time to do one of our educational courses.)
Description: The Montreal Mass Transit Authority (STM) Fire Training Centre, is a live underground infrastructure that accurately reproduces a section of the metro system and an environment conducive to student learning. The centre provides training to over 500 people each year, using simulated exercises that closely reproduce real-life incidences. See a demonstration of an intervention by STM fire-fighting crews responding to an incident. You will also gain a first-hand appreciation of the power and efficiency of the emergency ventilation system operating in Montréal’s underground network. Transportation via Metro and small morning snack will be provided.

Technical Tour: Mont-Royal Transit Tunnel Fire Truck
Time: 1:30-3:30 PM
Description: Get a chance to see the new railroad fire truck for the Mont-Royal Transit Tunnel. The fire truck deployment exercise is dedicated to respond to any tunnel incidents. Transportation via Metro and a light snack will be provided.

Technical Tour: 1976 Olympic Stadium
Time: 7:00-9:30 PM - (All educational courses will be over in time to do this tour.)
Description: Visit the 1976 Olympic Stadium and its funiculaire. Since its inauguration in 1976, more than 67 million visitors have come. The famous Montreal Tower has become the international symbol of Montreal! This project required unique code compliance to transform an inclined tower into occupied business offices. Transportation via Metro and a small evening snack will be provided.
